Critics have mocked the comparison between the food stamp program, which delivers an average of $1.37 per meal, and the high-end meal kit, which runs $10 per serving.

This article was quite an interesting read.   It has quite a bit of common sense but the liberals would never buy it, and either would the big food business.

Have you ever been behind people in the supermarket and see they have a huge cart of groceries – much better stuff than you can afford to buy and then you see them slide a card and “SNAP” appears on the screen?   These people each much better than I do for sure.   The problem with food stamps is that people are completely abusing this program.   Many people get paid “under the table” in this country and are not paying taxes, and then get Welfare assistance because they show no income.   The bottom line is they are working the system and doing better than most of the “middle class.”

Shipping these people healthy food instead of letting them buy it at the store would certainly put a stop to the abuse.

There will be strong opinions against what I am saying because there are lots of people who believe that we would be punishing the poor.   The bottom line is that taxpayers are funding food assistance for those who cannot afford it.   This is a benefit to keep these people from starving that are having a legitimate problem.  Donuts, Candy, Chips and Prime Rib that I see loaded in carts that SNAP assistance people are purchasing needs to stop.

Anyway – that is what I think – and the liberals would tear me up with what I just said.

I have never taken any sort of welfare assistance, food stamps, or free medical.   I have always worked to take care of myself.   Perhaps it is time for people to go to work so they can buy what they want at the store, or what they can afford, and if it means that they will get food packages delivered to their homes, “healthy food” then so be it.   My tax dollars are not to support people so they can live better than me while sitting at home watching the Television why I work my rear off to make ends meet.
