How Soon People Forget, Newsom
People forget very soon about what other people do. Governor Newsom dodged the recall vote this week. People all over California think this is a good thing. After all, they forgot about the French Laundry where Newsom flaunted the mask and Covid-19 guidelines he placed on everyone else. They also forgot about the billions of dollars lost by the Employment Development Department in California due to fraudulent claims. Small business forgot that Newsom hammered their doors closed and bankrupted them because he felt it was important to keep Liquor stores open, but close just about everything else. They forgot about the masks that he bought from China without permission. They forgot about Newsom’s kids going to school while everyone else’s children were home schooled. They forgot about Newsom’s connection to Pacific Gas and Electric and the money he took from them during his campaign. They forgot about the mandatory power shut-offs and the rotating blackouts. They forgot about the water shortage and the limit of 55 gallons per day per person starting 2022. They forgot about the zero planning that the Newsom team has done to deal with the water shortage. I could tell you more, but it doesn’t matter because the people forgot.
In reality, 36% of the voters did not forget. They voted to remove him from office. Interesting enough these were rural voters. Was anyone surprised here? Not me. Rural citizens in California carry the weight of the entire state on their shoulders. They are the ones that are working and paying taxes. They are the ones paying the lion’s share of the gasoline taxes. They are the ones that suffered the most because small business operates in rural areas and not the big cities. They are the ones that suffered the most when schools were closed. They had no Internet so their children could continue to be educated. Those were the folks that suffered under Newsom’s curfew’s when they were stopped commuting to work at early hours and told to go home. The rural population is the population group of California that is getting decimated by fires. Newsom has done nothing to improve on Forest Management.
The rural citizens of California will get the last word however. Why? Because rural Californian’s are the most prepared. We have our own water wells. We have our own generators. We grow our own food (along with those in the central valley – that voted for Newsom’s recall.) We have guns and we know how to use them. We know how to barter and trade to avoid extensive taxes. We kick the homeless out of our areas and send them to the cities where Newsom will pander to them for their vote. We know what freedom is. We know what the Constitution is. We know Critical Race Theory is a crock. We know that the 1600 movement is a crock too. We know who God is.
In reality Newsom doesn’t mean anything to me. The only thing he can do is tax me. He can raise my property taxes. He can raise my income taxes and he can raise my gas taxes. That is it. When us old folks start to retire we don’t care much about most of that because we don’t make enough money anymore to pay income taxes. We stop driving so we don’t pay the gas taxes and we have our own water supply so we can do whatever we decide to do. You see, the water comes to the mountains first and then what we decided not to use goes to the cities. You can’t have cattle and pigs in your track home in the city. Chickens either. You might be able to grow a vegetable garden but Newsom just took your water, so that isn’t going to happen. As you might have figured out Newsom can’t do a damn thing. There isn’t enough law enforcement to stop us rural folks – and whatever police there was is now defunded.
I laugh when I read the comment sections on news media or watch the news. I hear all of the lies. I hear all of the bullshit and I think…. why should I be upset? It doesn’t effect me and either does Newsom.
Question – did the free money Newsom was giving out guarantee you to vote no on his recall?
