Mid-Term Elections Devastating for California – Higher Taxes Coming

It has almost been a week since the mid-term elections in California.   As the final tally sinks in to the voters few seem concerned.   Three out of the 4 multi-billion bonds were passed as well has hundreds of sales tax increases.   Gavin Newsom was elected governor, Feinstein  keeps her job and 5 more republicans were ousted from their positions.   You could say a “blue wave” did hit California, however it was not unexpected.

One to Track in California – Assembly Bill 3042

The liberal, socialist State of California is at it again. A bill quietly introduced by Assemblyman Miguel Santiago (D), would designate the third Monday in February “as a single school holiday to be known as ‘Presidents’ Day.'” The bill would subsequently get rid of either George Washington or Abraham Lincoln’s birthday as a holiday and designate May 1 as “International Workers’ Day.” International Socialist Workers’ Day, or “May Day” had been observed in countries under Communist rule and was an official holiday of the Soviet Union.

Also, they also realized that gas is now reaching $4 a gallon – which is taking a huge dent out of their income (liberals voted in the tax increases in the state legislature.)

California Continues to Disappoint it’s Citizens

The liberal government in California continues to disappoint its citizens. The ongoing battle with immigration and interference with the sale of Federal land has drawn two federal lawsuits, which the United States will win. Gov. Brown and his associates have signed climate deals with China in violation of Federal Law and the list just continues to grow.

California Assembly Proposes $4.3 Billion in New Spending

SACRAMENTO (AP) — California, flush with cash from an expanding economy, would eventually spend $1 billion a year to provide health care to immigrants living in the state illegally under a proposal announced Wednesday by Assembly Democrats. The proposal would eliminate legal residency requirements in the state Medicaid program, known as Medi-Cal, as the state has already done for young people up to age 19.
